Beach is very rocky (cant walk in water with bare feet) also found a lot of fish hooks in the water so make sure to wear water shoes or flip flops. Son got a leach while swimming. Staff were not very friendly and there was a huge multi family party happening right at the entrance to the campground which made for a very slow entrance into the campground. Would not recommend this campground to others.
Cleanliness of showers and flush toilets at the camp entrance was decent. The outhouses by the beach were RANCID. I'd rather walk to the other end of the campsite to the flush toilets.Other than that it was a good campsite.
Great campsite. Was smokey this weekend due to the BC fires. Beach is nice, but a little Rockey. Camp sites are in good shape and are large enough and we'll treed. Play ground was ok,. Could be a little larger. My 9 year old cought a Pike and Walleye. Fun times.
My family and I really liked this place, affordable, clean, convenient. Nice showers and reasonably clean. Unfortunately, I found the rules to be inconsistently inforced. There is a lot of families here and generators are constantly running after the printed and verbal rules about generators. Management seems to inforce when the whim strikes them. I personally talked to another camper after five hours of continuous use of an industrial generator had been running and talking to management. If you like camping in the middle of a construction site come on over !
Wife and I have had a seasonal campsite for 3 years now, and rented out weekend sites for years before that. We love the family friendly atmosphere. Dogs are allowed and our fur child loves going to the lake every weekend. Gary and Corrine are completely reasonable and fair with the rules. Some may not like them, and I dont agree with them all but we adhere to them and have no issues. Love that each campsite is its own. Lots of trees in between and within the rules owners are allowed to set up as they please. Some people mentioned them making more spots seasonal ones. Thats not the case. There could be more people booking out sites for an entire season, however if they is being done they are required to pull their trailer out at least 2 times a season as its not considered a seasonal spot. If you want to use the boat launch for the day it does cost money. Helps keep traffic limited for actual campers and seasonal users. Something Im totally okay with. Complaints about outhouses? Yes sometimes they smell, its an outhouse for goodness sakes! Easily one of the best, most beautiful campsites Ive ever seen.
