Great tea house. The pies are amazing . If the weather is good take a seat out in thw garden, it is so peaceful and beautiful. A real gem in Lacombe
Great food at a reasonable price. Didn't have dessert, but the table next to me did, and it looked really good.Gorgeous gardens out back visible from the patio. Splendid little lunch spot.
I went to a conference in Lacombe a few weeks ago and for the opening night they took us to Morrison House for supper. They had 2 options, a vegetarian and meat option. I took the vegetarian. The place was cosy, but the food was sooooo boring. I took one look at my plate and thought "What on earth is this? I can make a matter looking(and tasting) plate of food with my eyes closed". To clarify, the food didn't taste bad(although it was painfully under seasoned) , but by no means did it taste good. I like to feel exited when I see my food at a restaurant however, my heart sank when I saw my food here. I also talked to my conference companions and they were equally as "impressed" as I was with the food. Overall it was a real disappointment.UPDATE: September 12, 2018I just went there for lunch with my mom(it was her idea). This time the food was quite good. This time I had the Chefs Salad with blue cheese dressing and the Grilled Cheese. Both were well done, and the bread they used for the sandwich was delicious. Im updating my review from 2 stars to 3, as an average of my two experiences. My first experience was still definitely 2 stars, but this one was 4 stars.
I had heard that the food was delicious here, that's no overstatement. I had creamy turkey soup and a slice of quiche; it was delicious. My girlfriend had pecan pie and ice cream which she said was top 5 best pecan pie she has ever had. Prices weren't bad and the waiter was polite, helpful and timely. The atmosphere is very well crafted. This place is a real gem in Lacombe, check it out.
I went there for brunch with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. We were greeted with a warm welcome. The food was very good, and so was the service! They even have gluten-free options! I definitely recommend this place! :D
